About us

A local company with its feet on the ground

Solar Vest Energy is based at 1035 Martin Ct in Yuba City. We exist to put practical, well-built solar on homes, farms and businesses in the communities around us.

Who we are

Solar Vest Energy is led by Chander Sidher, Principal. The company grew out of a simple observation: the Sacramento Valley gets hammered by summer power bills, the sun here is abundant, and too many local property owners were getting sold systems they didn't understand by people who were gone once the paperwork was signed.

So we built the opposite. A company headquartered in Yuba City, working in Sutter and Yuba counties, where the person who designs your system is reachable after it's installed. We keep our service area close on purpose. If we install it, we want to be able to stand in front of it, check on it and answer for it.

How we approach the work

Three habits we don't break

Listen first

Every project starts with a conversation and a site visit. We look at the roof, the bills and the plans for the property before we ever talk equipment. If the numbers don't work, you'll hear that from us too.

Design for the real load

Summer air conditioning, irrigation pumps, shop tools — we size systems around the power you actually use, not a regional average. Right-sized systems cost less to own and perform better over time.

Stay after the install

Switch-on is the middle of the relationship, not the end. We offer performance checks and maintenance so a system keeps producing year after year, and we pick up the phone when something seems off.

Why "vest"?

A vest is the thing you put on to get work done — practical, close at hand, built for the job. That's how we think about solar too: not a gadget or a statement, but working equipment that earns its place on your roof. Valley heat, dust, occasional hard weather — systems here need to be installed properly and checked regularly, and that's the standard we hold our own work to.
